Do you remember…?

Remember that feeling when you were little and your parents drove past a field with horses in it? Remember how much you just wanted to be with them, to smell them, to spend time with them?

A lot of us lost that magic as we grew into competition with our horses.  The focus might have changed from enjoying a horse’s company into obedience and precision. Lessons, seminars, drills, bits, spurs, whips, or maybe whichever ‘natural horsemanship’ flavour was popular at the time.

Do you want to get back that feeling of just enjoying your horse?  I can help.

I’ve taken my 30 years in dog training, 10 years in specializing in aggression and behaviour challenges, and applied it back to my horse training.  I understand learning theory, how the brain reacts to pressure and to reinforcement.

With my  own horses, I have that magic back.

If you are interested in stepping away from the standard of punishing a horse, of hitting, yelling, or making them ‘move their feet’, I’m here to help.

If you are interested in learning how to properly use positive reinforcement to train your horse, how to set boundaries without instilling fear, and how to use your body and energy to promote co-regulation, I’d love to help you.
